| From Western Australia. My colleague ordered this bottle for dinner last night at Est. restaurant in Sydney.
Dark purple color, almost black. Loads of blueberries, blackberries, and charcoal on the nose. The color and aromas promised a highly extracted wine, and without question this delivered. Flavors were very forward and matched the nose: blueberries, boysenberry. But unlike some intense shirazes, this one was not candied in the least. In fact, the acidity level was close to searing on the finish, almost hot. Somewhat unblalanced right now, I imagine this will smooth out nicely over time. 90+P.
Cheers,
