| $15.99. When I 1st opened the bottle, it showed a good amount of tannins. I wasn't going to decant but then decided that it called for it. And, actually, on the bottle they mention that it does show tannins early on. And, that the bottle can go in the Cellar due to the strong tannins.
The color is a deep color of red. At first, the Wine is on the bitter-side (on the Finish). A little too much bitterness for me (my taste). It has a nice fruity aroma. Aroma of berry (blackberry), plumb, mint, & earthy. After 30 minutes, I could still taste the tannins. The finish is descent. Nothing to complain about. The taste fills your mouth with fruits.
After about an hour, the tannins weakened & the bitterness (on the finish) also weakened. The Wine started to show its true taste. But, I could still taste some bitterness.
The fruits/taste that I mentioned remained pretty much unchanged.
Overall: Not a bad bottle for as an "everyday" Wine. Can you do better, Yes. Can you do better for this price, Yes. Can you do better for a lower price, Yes. Is it worth $16.00? Honestly, Not to me. I think (& have) found/tasted better "everyday" Wines. Will you Hate it or think that it is $$$ wasted, NO. A descent, not a "steal" when it comes to "everyday" Wine.

| Thanks for the TN. I haven't had the 2000 Cab, only the 2000 Shiraz--which was a little better (WS 90, me: 88-89). I did have the 99 Cab though and it sounds as though it was a better bottle than the '00.
Based on your results, I would have to guess that they do better with shiraz than cab sav. | | | |
