Tasted with ttepper at Christie's "The Classic Wines of Penfolds"

Ok.. now we are getting to the REALLY good stuff....

Nice amber color that still shows a dark reddish tint in the middle of the glass.
Beautiful, thick, dark, olive, mushroom nose with well integrated oak.
On the palate is a super well balanced, complex, integrated, "wow on the first sip" dark earthy fruit wine. Slightly sweet tannins, superior mouthfeel and a very long finish really round out this wine. Drink now, but has a few gorgeous years left for sure.

I absolutely loved this wine... what a treat.

Note: I also tried ttepper's pour of this wine. Definitely bottle variation as his wasn't as potent and powerful. Maybe a 92 pointer in his glass. Definitely not a wow.
