Tasted with ttepper at Christie's "The Classic Wines of Penfolds" Extremely sweet nose, color shows it age.. deep amber color. Mint mocha palate, extremely smooth but not ever the hill. Great structure, balance, complexity. Could use a litlte more fruit as it's heavily oaked and acid is actually still fairly high. Great terrior comes through on the finish. $2500 at auction. RRI 91

This was actually the Wednesday before the VC 1st Annual. Was a great experience. Met the Chief Red Wine Maker for Penfolds too. Very personable guy.
