| Didn't draw the attention that the shiraz and Sarah's Blend did, but this one will not take a backseat to its Aussie brother and sister. Dark to the point of being opaque and a real fruit-forward wine. It had a little edge to it early on, suggesting that it will develop IMHO. Changed dramatically in the hours it was opened and consumed over a 6-hour period Saturday. Very happy there's plenty more where it came from.

| $11.99 from WineEx. Ratings are subjective. One man's ceiling is another man's floor if you know what I mean. I really liked it. Over 90, short of 95. Give it 92.5 points. | | | |

| I must have made the mistake of drinking this wine too quickly then.
I opened a bottle on Halloween for some friends that dropped by rather unexpectedly. Over the course of two hours, all I tasted was serious wood. I saw no 93 point wine.
I've got another and will give it plenty of air time this time around.
(btw - I've noticed the same disturbing wood in all of their bottlings I have tried - the Shiraz 9, the S2 Cabernet, and the shiraz and cabernet regular labels. Either they need a TON more time or I simply don't like the Marquis Philips style. I'm hoping it's the first idea.) | | | |

| I am glad you liked it DaveL, this was the one out of the 2001 lineup I did not like that much compared to its previous vintage. I really enjoyed the 2000 Cabernet (92 seek points), but was somewhat dissappointed in the 2001(86 seek points, still not bad). I have another bottle I will open early next year, so hopefully it will show a little better. | | | |

| Liked this much better than the 2000. Just my opinion. Too bad you didn't. But like snowflakes, no two palates are alike and I didn't get any "wood,'' just a load of big, black fruit. | | | |
