Henschke 1999 Mount Edelstone- 90 points
Thick red wine with tar, aniseed, cherry and spice all showing up on the nose and in the mouth. Very complex wine with excellent elegance showing nice hadnling by the winemaker. Fine grain tannins, lots of US oak but well balanced by the strong forward fruit. Would've scored more but felt a little flabby after a while.
