1998 Pirramimma Mclaren Vale Petit Verdot -- what it lacks in complexity, it tries to make up for in sheer size. Similar to drinking a very dry Port. Linear dark fruit flavors, fairly long finish. I don't have a clue what this might do with a few more years in the bottle, but I won't be waiting. Overpowers a piece of Manchego cheese, and doesn't mind arm-wrestling some ripe Roquefort either. Hard to match with food, but fun to drink once in a while. App. 90 pts. I guess.
