Dark ruby red, almost opaque. Aromas of vanilla, oak, raspberry, and black fruit. Full-bodied with raspberry, currant, and plums leading to a slightly tart 30+ second finish. 87 points (08/02/2003).

| Add another vote to the "How the heck did you manage to make me believe this could be a 94 point wine, otherwise-fairly-reliable James Halliday???" party. And I paid 34E... | | | |

| To his credit...er...discharge...he also says best after 2005, but somehow that isn't exactly what I get from other posters... Another British vs American palate issue (see the Jeremy O. / RP thread in eBob) I imagine... | | | |

| Yep, no 707 unless of course it's a (major) typo: he also lists it for $28 which seems to fit... | | | |

| I paid about $20.00 US. For $28.00, it would not be worth the money (in my opinion). But, I do think that the 707 is more expensive than $28.00.
Well, I still do not agree on the rating & the drinking window.

| AUS $28, I imagine, which is pretty accurate...for you. 707 fetches $60+ in USA and 90+Euros in Spain... so it's obviously no mistype. I tried the '97 707 and that's some wine, but this 407 is certainly not half as good... | | | |

| Well, 3rd bottle gone. And, Gastronauta, the results stay the same. It is an OK Wine for $20.00. That's about it. | | | |

| I have been watching Bin 407 since its release in the early 90's and bought the 90, 91 and 94, all good vintages.
These wines promised so much on release and promptly did nothing! The last of the 91's which had held up well were consigned to auction about 2 years ago. They joined the rest of the stock of other vintages that I didn't feel was worth drinking.
