Another WOW wine from last night's tasting, deep dark purple in color with a beautiful nose showing powerful sweet fruit, blackberries, black cherries, spice, vanilla, and anise. Tremdously extracted and rich, yet with such fine balance and length it is anything but over the top. The finish goes on and on, a beautiful Grange, 97 points.

EW,

how long does this need in the decanter? This should be a super young wine still I'd think. Got a drink range? Thanks for the TN.

Rev, I wish I could answer you in detail, but this was at a tasting - I have no idea how long the bottle had been open or if it had been decanted. However, at least I can offer a suggested drinking window, and I would say hold off a few years, 2006-2010.

skwid,

Does that make the 'end' range.... 'when it's empty'??

That won't be a problem Budman. Open the bottle when I'm there and it will be emptied. So T+2 hours or so.

Drinking window is 2006 - 20016 and if you are opening young about 3 hours in a decanter would help.
