Tamar Ridge 2001 Pinot Noir, $24.00CAD

pale to medium ruby, slightly watery rim. Nose has good intensity showing macerated raspberries and strawberries. Lots of youthful fruit with a touch of spice. On the palate the wine is light to medium bodied. Any fruit is overpowered by the crisp and slightly imbalanced acidity. I've had some really outstanding and unusual Tasmanian Pinots, unfortunetly this isn't one of them.
