Tasted August 25, 2007. Bottled under screw cap. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of black berries, cherries, raspberries and a bit of florals. Flavors of black berries, cassis and raspberries. Light acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium body. Drink or hold over the short to medium term. Both PURPLE and myself found this wine to be quite quaffable and pleasurable by itself without food. (88 pts.)
