| Tasted at a private tasting with Trevor Jones, hosted by The Butcher Block in Tampa (www.butcherblocktampa.com).
The only one of the wines fixed with cork instead of screwcaps. Deep purple hardly begins to describe the color of the wine. A whole perfume table of flowers runs through the nose, with stewed dark fruits, cherries, chocolate, and spiced coffee on the rich palate. Tannins were a bit heavy, but will no doubt soften given 3-5 years more in the bottle. #2 wine of the day merely because of the way it's drinking now. It will certainly only get better with age. | |
