Dark plums and ripe berries on the nose, with hints of cracked pepper and toasted oak. Sweet fruits and heady spices across the palate, heavily-laded with raspberry, cooked prunes, and tar. Fine, chewy tannins, low acidity, excellent mouthfeel. The winner of the tasting for me (and The Rocket Scientist). |
