  • 2006 St Hallett Poachers Blend - Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley (4/5/2007)
Tasted at a retail tasting. A really delicious blend of semillion and sauvignon blanc. Nose of honeydew melon, lemon-lime, and minerals. On the palate, nice flavors of kiwi, lemon-lime, and yellow grapefruit. At $10 a bottle, this is a terrific QPR. (90 pts.)

When I first started to really get into wine St. Hallett's Gameskeeper's Reserve (Grenache blend) was the first wine that I received "accurate advice" from a retailer. Good to hear that they are still making good QPR wines.

And thanks for all the TNs!
