| - 2005 Pure Love Wines Shiraz Layer Cake - Australia, South Australia, Barossa (3/22/2007)
Tasted at a retail tasting. Pleasant nose of mint, dark chocolate, licorice, and tar. On the palate, ripe blueberry fruit, espresso, and spice. Noticeable heat on the finish. A rather enjoyable wine, but also an obviously manipulated wine. LB seemed to like it more than I did. I wonder if it had anything to do with the cake image on the label. 88-89 points. (88 pts.)
