2004 Kilikanoon Parable Shiraz - McLaren Vale, Australia
Decanted 3 hr’s. Slightly subdued nose of plum, blackberries and blueberries with a slight touch of heat. Very primary and closed at first, but opens up considerably after 3+ hr’s. Rich and concentrated flavors of plum, blackberry, and anise spice with hints of blueberry, tar and earth set in a full palate with significant, but soft tannins having a slightly oily edge. Consistent mid-palate, but needs more depth and breaks up a bit with slightly drying tannins on the tight finish. This needs a lot of cellar time. S91 3/4/2007
