The flaghsip wine from Cape Mentelle.

Colour: Dark red with purple tinges
Nose: Strong aniseed, cassis, cedar and some leather rnotes also.
Palate: Forward tannin structure making this wine that needs some air (which sadly I didn't have time for.). Mouth feel was good and the flavours very complex with hints of oak, sweet fruits and more savoury characters mixing to create rainbow of flavours.
Overall: A powerful wine that exhibits great complexity and intergration- certainly note one dimensional. 90 points.
