This small winery does five wines but in my opinion this and the Fighting Flats Shiraz are the only two worth drinking.

The wines are named after abandoned gold mines giving each of the three wines a unique name and character.

Sally's Paddock is the flagship wine with low yields and careful use fo US and French Oak.

Colour: Dark red
Nose: Subdued spice, cedar and eucalypt.
Palate: Good structure with moderate tannins. To be honest this wine tasted very closed down and in comparisons to other examples of this wine I have tasted seemed too subdued. Length was moderate but seemed weak, but the wine was quite mouthfilling however.
Overall: Definately closed down , not just in my opinion but also several other people there. A pity but this wine does show potential with elegant tannic structure andd moderate length even during this "dumb" phase.
