| | 2003 Two Hands Shiraz McLaren Vale Bella's Garden -- deep inky purple, almost barrel-sample colour density; after 20 min. in decanter big nose of cherry, oak, charcoal smoke; very velvety in the mouth, with strong cherry, raspberry, black pepper, and sort of Northern Rhône-grilled meat flavours, enough acidity to keep the flavours fresh; very long fruit and meat finish. Powerhouse tongue-stainer. About 94-95 pts. Best-of-both-worlds kind of wine. Will be interesting to try this again in 4-6 years. | | | |

| | seaquam, would you say this is a "drink now" or "hold for later" kind of wine? | | | |

| | I would expect this wine to improve over the next few years. I have 2 more, and plan to open them 3 and 6 years from now. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you opened one now, though, so long as you give it an hour or so in decanter. | | | |
