Wow -- not really drinkable right now. Tons of black peppercorn and charred wood on the nose, with strong, overpowering elements of black pepper and ash. Even after 12 hours in the decanter, it still has very strong black pepper and charcoal notes. No fruit whatsoever. This wine is either shut down, like Irvine after 9 PM, or was used as an ashtray before bottling. Needs time? (74 pts.)
