2003 Kilikanoon Shiraz M McLaren Vale - Fleurieu, McLaren Vale, Australia
Decanted 4 hr’s. Dense blackberry nose. Ultra thick and chewy blackberry and blueberry flavors with cassis, tar and a little spicy oak in the background. A wall of smooth and lush tannins remain relentless on the palate until letting up on the lengthy finish. This was just slightly tainted, but not enough to prevent enjoying the wine. I’m sure it would be worth another point or two otherwise. S91 9/30/2006
