This wine was part of an ex-heritage wine investment portfolio, recently released to the owner and put up to auction to try to recover a portion of their defunct investment (for details of this and many other failed wine investment scams see http://www.investdrinks.org ).

A dense purple color revealing vibrant aromas of cherry, liqueur blackberry and smoke. The palate is luxuriously rich and full bodied with slippery tannins and layers of complex flavours. On entry a big, dominant whack of black forest cake with distinct layers of raspberry, blackcurrant and cherry greet you; finishing with hints of meat, some black olive, smoke and spice; lingering on the palate for ages.
Cheers
