Tasted at the Parsec Cup Syrah tasting in Frisco on 5/3/03.

The unanimous consensus is that this wine was way too young. All six tasters at this event also listed this as the wine they would most like to try again in three to five years or more. On the nose, this wine had eucalyptus and white pepper, with one taster also mentioning cola and nutmeg. On the palate, I thought this one had a big hole in the middle, with a lot of heat on the long, spicy finish.

A huge wine, this will be a fantastic wine if (if) it ever comes into balance. If not, it will remain a big disappointment to all of us. One taster called this the quintessential Aussie shiraz, but I am not sure if it will come into balance. This wine did receive one second place vote, but none of the other five tasters listed it in their top three.
