| 2002 Elderton Command Shiraz - Barossa Valley, Australia
Decanted 4 hr’s. Rich, intense blueberry nose. Thick, rich flavors of spicy dark plums and blueberry along with faint hints of meat and pepper. Starts lush and big with dark chocolate liqueur intensifying on the mid-palate leading to a long, lingering finish that just never quits. Tannins are silky fine with just a touch of chalkiness. Another blockbuster Command that with ample decant time, is more approachable now than the previous 2 vintages were at this stage. S95 3/18/2006 | | |

| - 2002 Elderton Shiraz Command - Australia, South Australia, Barossa (3/10/2007)
Tasted at a retail wine tasting. Notes of chocolate peppermint patty, banana cream, and vanillin. Thick and unctuous and very much an Aussie Barossa shiraz, which is not a bad thing in book. (93 pts.)
