$22.00, Retail:

Not decanted, not needed, screw cap.

A very nice bottle of wine. And, a very nice bottle for the price. A great food wine, though not very good on it own. A bit 1-dimensional, lacking layers, depth, & not very complex.

But, fruity, enjoyable, & straight-forward. A good amount of fruit, tasted plum & raspberry. This wine hides nothing, it is what it is: fruity, fun, drink now & as is.

By the way: Parker rated it 91-94. I don't see those kind of #s, but a nice bottle of wine nonetheless. I recommend if this is your style, kind of a wine.

Rating: 89 points, drink now. I see no reason to hold this wine.

I had a very different experience with this wine. While I taste it out of the glass, I always give Syrah/Shiraz time to come around. This wine was no exception.

I would give this 91-92 points but certainly come back to it in 2-4 years.

l_c_c, if you have another bottle, give it a try after decanting it for awhile...

Tasted another bottle tonight, results are same as above. Sorry J_O but I just don't see 92 points or Parkers 91-94 range. A very nice bottle of wine, but that's about it.

Still, I am very happy with my purchase, a nice bottle for what I paid for it.

My 3rd bottle is much like the 1st 2 bottles, 89 points & an excellent wine for the money. Again, drink or hold.
