2000 Scarpatoni Blanch Point Maslin Beach Red (WIML84,NOWA,NOWS)

Tasted October 16, 2005 at a retail tasting so brief comments. Opened and served immediate in Riedel restaurant line Syrah glasses. Crimson color in the glass, clear hue throughout. First whiff and you say “Port!”. Nose of crushed dark currants, golden raisins and some anise. Flavors of black cherries, red cherries and raspberries about three times on the finish. Drink now with decanting or hold a few years. Not recommended.
