Notes from an Australian Shiraz tasting, held April 8th, 2003

It was interesting, the two Elderton’s were easy to pick out of the flight as the same wine, stylistically they were incredibly similar. The 1998 to my palate was not showing at this stage as well as the 1997, but has tremendous potential. Rich, ripe full nose of creamy blueberries, just a touch of game coming through, and excellent wine that will only improve over the next couple years. 92 points, my #3 of the flight, drink now-2008
