Comments on the wine from the LCBO: `Duque de Viseu', a premium Dao from Sogrape, combines Touriga Nacional (for tannin and concentration), Jaen (for fruit and alcohol), Alfrocheiro Preto (for colour) and Tinta Pinheira (for finesse).
My notes: Deep ruby colour, opaque. Aromas of milk chocolate, cloves, raspberry. Medium-bodied, dry, with fennel and red fruit notes. Short finish, very quaffable. 84 points (10/14/2003). | | |
