Please don't mistake this for Sine Qua Non Incognito: this one is from Cortes de Cima winery, Portugal. It's a 100% Syrah from the Alentejo region, but it's not your typical Portuguese wine. I think it is really fruit forward and closer to a New World stile. Drunk 45' after splash decanting. Visually it's dark red. At first I found strong and jammy aromas of red fruits. Given some time it showed a tad of plum and chocolate. There is also some plum in the palate, that goes pretty well with the oak. Medium to long finish. 88 pts.
