| This is a wine given to me by Petey for staff training at his restaurant. The wine is a blend of 35% Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) 10% Touriga Nacional and 55% Tinta Barroca. No decanting just consumed over 4 hrs.
Wine is a moderate garnet color at the core with a ruby rim. Fairly prounouced aromas of berry fruit and cinnamon. Medium bodied with fairly high acidity. Not overly tannic showing good blackberry, carmel and pepper. Finishes just short of moderate. jb Rating 85 pts.
This is a good sturdy food wine that would pair well with pork and sausage dishes. It went well with the "Ghetto Osso Buco" I made tonight using the wine in the braising liquid.
