| | The wine was medium purple in color, clearly less opaque than most other Cabs. It had a very nice nose of plums and baked fruit, almost Zinfandel-like, that promised a little more than the wine intially delivered. At first sip, the wine's acidity was the dominant characteristic, but very lovely flavors of ripe raspberries followed. Tannins were present but soft. The wine is ready to drink, but nowhere near tired. A pleasant surpise that improved with time. 86-87. | | | |
