My Dad brought this to dinner on Saturday night. He bought it in the early 90s for what I would guess was around $20-$25CAD.
Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara blend

The cork was very brittle (broke twice while removing) and had a dried sticky mass on the top of the cork when I removed the foil. I thought the wine was a goner for sure, but this was not the case. I was surprised that there was no sediment in the bottle (had the bottle standing up for a couple weeks). Medium-ruby with a slight browning around the rim. Cherry stones, earth, and a heavy alochol nose to the wine. Medium-bodied with raisins and cherries. Smooth and soft tannins, albeit a wine that was thin for an Amarone. '87 wasn't a great year for Amarone, but I'm sure there are better examples from the vintage for this style. Regardless, it was great to have a bottle with this much age on it. 86 points
