| Found this at BevMo for $8. R. Parker apparently gave it an 86. I figured I'd try it though I knew nothing about the wine. Turns out that Primitivo is a Zinfandel from the boot of Italy. No wonder I liked it. I went back and bought half a case. I rate it up there with some of the better wines I've had recently. If you like Zins, my bet is you'd like this wine. I love it. My favorite QPR.

Color: Deep purple - red, almost opaque Cost: $8
Smell: Black fruit, black currant, black cherry, vanilla, no off odors
Taste: Great acid balance, rich, mildly tannnic, good balance, not bone dry, good with food

| I love Primitivos. They are cheap and are usually quite good. Not sure I would agree with you on the 90 rating, maybe an 87-88 in my book.
But nice QPR methinks. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |
