Purchased from Wine Library for $48 about 18 months ago after tasting it at one of their 'Grand Tastings.'

Tasted in Riedel Sommelier Burgundy Grand Cru.

One of the best bouquets I've experienced in a very long time. Immediate explosive aromas of earth, cherry, and leather.

On the palate, the wine appears medium bodied with mouth coating tannin, glycerine, and huge amounts of extraction. I am constantly amazed at how different European wines are from Californian wines.

This is a VERY good wine. I really enjoyed the sweet, yet powerful tannin, moderate use of oak, and fantastic balance. The finish lasts an amazing 45 seconds. Excellent complexity. Very well made. It definitely has the stuffing to go many, many years.

At this point, I'd rate this wine somewhere in the 93-95 range - probably closer to 95.

It's a buy in my book.

short-this was the ringer i brought to the pinot noir tasting at the green gables in lbi. one of the more approachable 97's, but still needs time. have 10 more bottles to enjoy over the years. parker gave this wine a 93.

I thought this wine was excellent. Good concentration, but still fairly tight. I remember not knowing this was a Pinot at Green Gables, but my notes on the wine were very different from the rest, not very Pinot-like. I think I rated this wine a 91.
