med red core with slightly bricking rim, initial nose of sour cherry, licorice, and barnyard, moved to iodine after about an hour. Med. bodied with pretty red fruits, nice acid, and minerality that, combined with the supple tannnins, offered a 30sec finish. Typical for this producer, an old style chianti. Good food wine. Drink within the next 3 years. 89
