i had my first bottle of this about three years ago. i decided to revisit and see how it was doing. i paid about $25. i drank it over two nights. first night opened decanted and began drinking within 15 minutes. 14% alc.

dark ruby purple. slow moving legs.
first night-very nice nose of cherries, tar and earth. medium to full bodied. excellent structure and balance. plenty of red fruit beneath the tannins, but this wine is still pretty tight and not opening up much. not getting much complexity. moderate finish. wine needs time, me89+

second night-wow! wine has really opened up. exotic nose now has cherries, tar and horseradish nuances. cherry fruit flavors have come out of the shell with spices and coffee on the finish. still plenty of time left for this sangiovese wine. i will revisit another bottle in a few years. tonight 91
