This new wine for me was presented as a birthday present, so I don't know the cost. The nearest I can tell was the 1994, which was $21. From the Veneto region of Italy.

Decanted for one half hour with no sediment, a beautiful dark red colour. The nose, however, was subdued, with only a slight hint of cherry. Chocolate was barely evident, but only after a time in the glass. I was disappointed, very little integration was evident as the tannins were biting rather than firm, and led to a harsh finish with very little fruit evident on tasting. I almost thought i sensed slight metallic on the finish. This wine I don't think would help with additional time in the bottle, the nose never came forward, and the wine didn't soften throughout the nite. All in all, kinda disappointing night as the 93 orny wasn't great either. 84 points. QPR = NA since I didn't buy it.
