Had this with my girlfriend last night. This isn't from a producer I know particularly well, nor is it a wine that I would normally pick. But because it was a 97 I thought it couldn't be too bad.

The colour was very light for a 97 Chianti Reserva and this transfered to the nose and palate. The aromas were simplistic and was dominated by herby strawberry notes and a little smoky oak. The palate mirrored the nose in flavour with some slightly bitter hints of tannin comming through. Acids lightened the overal body of the wine but created an unexpected length. Strawberry and raspberry were the most evident characters of this wine. One description was
pre-eminent throughout tasting- ONE DIMENSIONAL. Although there is nothing bad about the wine there is nothing exciting either. 82 points.
