13.5% alcohol. paid $32. opened and decanted 30 minutes prior to drinking. drank over two nights with not much change.

dark ruby purple in color. nose of toasted oak, raspberries and a touch of tar and earth. medium to full bodied muted red fruit flavors. soft tannins and a mild finish. acidity a little to high. the 2000 version was mostly merlot and syrah with 10% sangiovese. i suspect the 2001 has more sangiovese. a very nice wine, but not worth the dollars. me87
