Picked this up for $20 from a friend, no decanting, no food with it. The nose promises more than the palate delivers. The aromas of berry and floral promised a nice fruity expression of CCR, but the midpalate kinda dies out and the finish is somewhat lacking. What tannins there are (or were) seems to have faded. That said, this is a solid upper 86-88 rated wine (88 the first nite, 86 tonite), B on the QPR, and I could easily drink this for a daily drinker. I don’t think it’s gonna get any better though. I’ve got two more and plan on drinking throughout 2003.
