1990 Aldo e Riccardo Seghesio Barolo Vigneto la Villa - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (7/23/2008)
WIML93
Tasted July 23, 2008 at an offline.
From memory: This wine was decanted maybe an hour or two before serving. This wine was a bit more open for business than the previous Barolo. I believe the color was dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Lovely notes of tar, asphalt, etc... with nice dark fruits on the palate. Medium to bright acidity, still slightly firm tannins, fairly full bodied. Can be drank now with a decant but I'd likely continue to hold this long term ager. At the moment I'd say this wine is close to the WIML93+ mark but I can easily see this wine picking up some points with more time in bottle. (93 pts.)
