Clear, bright ruby in color; Very solid to good Chianti. Just after the decant it was mute on the nose and barely better in the middle and finish. After about 30 minutes in the decant the aromas and flavors developed. It had earthy and cherry aromas and flavors. Some sour notes on the finish with interesting florals and minerals. Good balance with fine tannins. Definitely a food wine. Well-priced at under $20 and probably not a long-term hold. (90 pts.)
