Dark purple color with a reddish rim; Tasted double blind. This screamed Bordeaux blend but it didn't seem like a Bordeaux or a New World blend. I thought maybe it was Spanish for a while. It had an aromatic nose of blackberries with espresso and similar flavors. Balanced and complex - a few years of bottle time should smooth off some of the rough edges. Should improve with additional aging. Quite tasty. (90 pts.)
