Golden in color, not the best start for a Verdicchio. Moderately intense nose of toasted almonds, lemon pledge and light oxidative notes.  Medium bodied, low complexity, high acidity, a little hollow in the middle and a long, but bitter finish. Light citrus oil, lime blossom, almonds and light oxidative notes.  A good example of why some varietals aren't meant to be aged, even a few years. Not sure why my mom had this sitting around, but it was around too long. Not the refreshing, crisp glass I was looking for.  80pts.
