  • 2004 Luciano Sandrone Barbera d'Alba - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d'Alba (8/21/2007)
Drink this wine! Sandrone makes such a consistent Barbera with typicity and elegance - the 2004 is no different. Dark fruit core with aromas of flowers, plums and minerals. Slightly toasty, very plush with great verve and freshness. Medium-plus bodied with a nice lingering finish. (92 pts.)

One of my favorite Barberas but hard to get. Jaimetown - what was the price point on this one? The 2005 that I tasted at the winery is pretty good as well.

It was $28.99 - and still available from McArthur Beverages in Washington DC.
