Tasted June 23, 2007 at home. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Dark purple to crimson color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of black licorice, black currants, raisins and a touch of brown sugar. Flavors of black currants, black licorice and black cherries. Medium acidity and tannins, medium to full body. 16% alcohol but barely noticeable. Well balanced overall. Drink or hold. I’ll likely drink my one remaining bottle next year. (92 pts.)
