Purple, unlike the 2000, modernists methods more pronounced in this bottling with a moderately concentrated nose of vanilla, tar, leather, and cassis. Full bodied, powerful intensity, high acidity and tannin. Palate mirrors the nose with the addition of some more black fruits, balanced and long. 90pts
