1964 F. LLI Minuto Fu Felice Barolo Riserva Speciale - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (5/19/2007)
WIMLNR,NOWA,NOWS

Tasted May 19, 2007 at an offline. Opened and served immediately. Garnet color in the glass, fairly cloudy throughout. Nose of black licorice and anise with some leather notes lying underneath. Mostly black licorice on the palate. Light acidity, tannins and body. Interesting “science” experience drinking this wine with 43 years of age. No rating only because I rarely rate wines this old; I just enjoy them as was meant to be. Drink now.

This was pretty interesting wine. There is no way I thought it could be Nebbiolo - it smelled and tasted like a good vintage Port. It still had fruit was and in pretty good condition for its age but without the aged Barolo profile.

There is nothing wrong with being 43 years of age.
