Purchased from Wine Commune recently for about $17 bucks, I wasn't expecting too much, but figured for the price it was worth a shot.

The fill on the wine is pretty amazing - mid neck, like a new release, and the cork was in great shape, coming out easily without hinting at breaking.  The color is, as one would rather expect, a rather light orange-ish-red, clear (has been standing up for a couple weeks), with plenty-o-brickin'.  The nose is all tertiary aromas - leather, cedar, earth - not a hint of fruit, but I find the aromas surprisingly pleasant.  The palate has a single attribute going for it - silky texture.  There's really no depth here, nothing to contemplate, no layers, nothing complex, but the tannins are fully resolved, and the mouthfeel is silky and lovely.  Critically speaking this wine would weigh in somewhere in the mid-to-lower 80s I suppose, and fading, but I find it quite interesting and enjoyable nonetheless.
