I found this on the wine list for $95 and since I had a $50 gift certificate from the restaurant thought it was an excellent time to try it. Considering that the restaurant is in Montgomery County MD, this was an excellent price.

This is an absolutly stunning wine for it's type. A mixture of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, it had a lush berry nose with hints of licorice and spices. I didn't decant it so it was somewhat hot at first, but after a short while it opened beautifully. Full bodied, with a long lingering finish, the tannins were silky and firm. Absolutely wonderful. I give this a 92-93. I wish I had some in my cellar.
